NERC members listened intently to the important and very engaging presentation from Ian Carman at tonight’s meeting (27/5/16). Ian highlighted the impact that global warming and greenhouse gases have on our climate here on earth. We CAN do something about it. We have the power and the resources to make a change. Thanks again Ian for a most informative presentation.
Darren (VK5DP) from our Club has just completed a video on how to use the popular VKCL logging program. This is posted on YouTube so go and have a look. Whilst there check out some of the other great YouTube videos by Stuart (VK5STU).
Tonights meeting heard a great presentation from Stuart on EMR. A case study was used to show us all how important this issue is to holders of licences and how to avoid any non-compliance issues with the licence determinations and regulations. How to use the EMR calculator was also shown to members to enable EMR calculations to be done at their QTH. Good attendance and member involvement. It was also good to see some old faces attend. Members also had a good look at Stuart’s YouTube Channel with several videos of various club activities including the recent ‘buy and sell’. The link to VK3UMs (Doug McArthur’s ) site is below for you to download the calculator ZIP file and also links to Stuart’s YouTube Channel and blog site.
